Ripple has partnered with fintech platform RedotPay to launch a new payment corridor enabling users to send cryptocurrency directly to Nigerian bank accounts. Starting December 2, 2025, verified RedotPay customers can now receive Nigerian naira (NGN) payouts within minutes by converting supported digital assets including XRP , Bitcoin , Ethereum , USDC, USDT, SOL, TON, TRX, and BNB.
The new NGN payout option addresses a persistent pain point in cross-border payments, where traditional international transfers often take several days and charge fees exceeding six percent. By leveraging Ripple's enterprise-grade infrastructure, RedotPay aims to deliver near-instant settlement and transparent pricing for both individuals and businesses sending money across borders. This is particularly significant for digital workers, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and people sending remittances home from overseas.
This partnership shows how blockchain-based solutions can simplify international payments for both individuals and businesses," said Jack Cullinane, who oversees commercial operations for Ripple in the Asia-Pacific region. The NGN rollout follows RedotPay's earlier expansion into Brazil and Mexico, signaling Ripple's broader push into emerging markets where stablecoin usage and digital remittances are accelerating. Ripple's upcoming RLUSD stablecoin will also be added to the platform once available, further strengthening the ecosystem.
The partnership underscores growing demand for faster, lower-cost alternatives to traditional banking channels in regions where remittance corridors remain expensive and inefficient.
